      Culinary Medicine

      Nutritional Psychiatry is an integrated approach that uses psychiatry, culinary medicine, botanical medicine and nutritional supplements to improve mental health conditions. Your individual genetic markers will provide direction for an integrated program design. This approach is for those who have been diagnosed and want to reduce or transition from psychotropic medications as well as those in need of an initial evaluation.

        Nutritional Psychiatry Comprehensive Treatment
        • Initial diagnostic evaluation ( 75 minutes) 
        • Biochemical Individuality lab testing  (choice of Mental Health Panel, Autism Panel, or ADHD Panel)
        • Program Design & Report Preparation

        Culinary Arts Therapy

         

        Dr. Joanne, The Culinary Therapy NP (TM pending) loves cooking, is a "kitchen connoisseur" and is excited to share this experience with you in a virtual setting! Culinary Art Therapy is a person centered and expressive therapy which allows the patient to communicate their emotions in a non traditional manner. While not a replacement for traditional talk therapy, Culinary Art Therapy is beneficial for those struggling with depression, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, eating disorders, and more. Patients are nourished mentally as well as physically through the use of food as medicine.

        Virtual Individual Culinary Arts Therapy: $125/session
        Patients cook virtually alongside Dr. Joanne while engaging in therapeutic conversation. Recipes are selected based on therapy and culinary goals. This alternative approach is for novices in the kitchen or the seasoned home cook. You will prepare healthy dishes with ingredients that are beneficial to mental health wellness and brain function.
        • 60-90 minute culinary arts therapy session

        Virtual Therapeutic Culinary Workshops - $50/person/session
        In a virtual group setting, individuals are taught how to prepare healthy dishes with ingredients that are beneficial to mental health wellness and brain function. Participants will also be provided with mental wellness skills they can use outside the kitchen.
